Facebook has updated reels making them longer and memory integrated

Meta adds new features for Facebook Reels

New features for Facebook reels now include longer clips and memories integration

Facebook Reels now include longer time limits, Memories integration, and themes based on current trends. The clips can now be up to 90 seconds long, an additional 30 seconds on the previous limit. Unlike YouTube Shorts, which allow 60-second videos, and TikTok, which allows 10-minute videos, Facebook Reels now sit comfortably between the two. Facebook also extended the time limit on reels to maximise interaction and engagement.

Facebook users can now begin sharing their favourite moments by selecting the “Share as a Reel” button. In addition to “Share as a post,” users can now select to “Share as Reel” from their memory vaults.

As well as improving Reels, Meta has also incorporated “Grooves,”. Based on user’s musical preferences and preferred rhythms this feature will automatically choose an appropriate backing track for the motions in the reel that the user wants to share.

Also, thanks to the easily accessible pre-made templates, people will find it extremely quick and easy to produce and share reels, similar to other platforms like Instagram and Tik Tok.
